The Gilan province of Iran lies along the Caspian Sea. Its capital is the gorgeous city of Rasht, a worthy travel destination. What might catch your eyes while touring Gilan are the beautiful rice and tea agricultural fields. The best times for visiting Gilan are spring and autumn. It is hot, humid and crowded during the summer and wet and cold during winter. Gilan offers an endless variety of destinations and activities: hiking through the deep forests and up the mountains, touring quaint villages – including the touristic village of Masoleh (or Māsūleh and Masouleh),  trips to historical sites and visits to the beaches.
